Only
3 2 weeks left (I mean, seriously, its already thursday)
and I have been in the same area (FAD-Fine Arts D) the entire month. I haven't slept there (yet) but soon...
its a hassle to take 3 studio courses. Now I have three final projects due on the 21st and the 22nd, so I'm really, really busy. I told ~vangir that I might not be able to come back and stay in DA. I'm thinking I'm leaving this place for good if I keep doing things at this pace. Well, its not my pace, but how UF treats art. Its a requirement to take 3 freaking art classes, all 3 hours each...I dunno, but I swear I'll end up forgetting I have an account here xD
but other than that I'm taking Summer classes (10 credits--one is comp. the other is intro to ocenography, the other one pre-calc) although I only need 6 credits to complete my first year (I only took 12 credits these two semesters, and because I live in the area....why not? I'll have something else to worry about, if that's the case...)
and none are art related (man, just give me a break!)
[its so sad I haven't even touched my 360. That's how sad things are around here...]Anyways. Don't be surprised if one day you forget who Gaby was.
I wouldn't, either.
So this might be a tentative farewell...

PS: thanks to all of those who faved or visited me. It means a lot that there's people out there that enjoy my work, and whether you left a comment or not, I'm not mad. I kinda like it when people comment since its an incentive that they want to know more. More than that, its the fact that being surrounded by the same people all the time really motivates me as an artist and as a critic. Other than that I would recommend you consider why you really want to major in art, because whatever you are doing now might not be what you will end up doing later on in life...
and I say this because there's people out there that think art is their passion yet when they get to college they regret taking art. Trust me, its not easy. No one likes to be told your artwork sucks, but there are times where you have to consider options. Been there, done that. Even if this has been my first year UF has the policy that you must take core classes right away. You don't get to your actual specialization (Ceramics, painting, digital media, etc.) until you take those classes (and WARP, of course) and even if I'm talking about UF its the same everywhere. There's not a single art school that its "easy" (well, no major is easy. They all have their special requirements and passion). I used to think it would be freedom, but no--they still want you to do what they are supposed to teach you, so freedom only comes in your spare time. I haven't drawn ramm in months, and its not because I forgot about him, but because I'm saving him for a special occasion (his friends too). But yeah, art as a major is a pain in the ass, but its worth it.
